Automated solution for checking VAT IDs via various databases
As of 01.01.2020 the VAT identification number of the recipient is a mandatory requirement for intra-Community supplies to be zero-rated.
Organisations should have processes in place to regularly check the validity of their customers' VAT IDs.
With the VAT ID Verifier, KMLZ offers a convenient solution for verifying VAT IDs via various databases (VIES, Federal Central Tax Office, FinanzOnline Austria).
The cloud-based solution allows data from a wide range of ERP systems to be checked and the query results to be archived.
The VAT-ID Verifier can also be integrated into existing billing and master data processes via an direct integration (REST API). This means that VAT-ID verifications can be fully automated in real time in the background and the verification results can be made available directly in the ERP system.
